The method involves arranging communication units (7) in an environment, and receiving data form the communication units in the environment, where the data is transmitted as wireless messages e.g. information-message (I) and Beacon message (B). Contained information of the status of a vehicle-to-infrastructure (C2X)-communication is determined by analysis of the wireless messages and is displayed in a man-machine-interface. Number of communication units is determined from subscriber in the C2X-communication and operating time of signals by the analysis of the wireless messages. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining a status of a wireless vehicle-to-infrastructure-communication of a vehicle.
