The method involves determining position, movement direction and speed of an own aircraft and an external aircraft in air space based on sensor data. A band of possible trajectories of the own aircraft is computed based on possible direction change of the own aircraft. The band of computed trajectories of the own aircraft is tested to find whether conflict with the trajectory of a strange aircraft occurs. Information is output to the driver of the own aircraft when conflict arises, where the information refers to the occurrence of possible conflict in case of direction change. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for conflict recognition in air space (2) a computer program comprising a program code to perform a method for conflict recognition in air space.
