The instrument (10) has an operating device (14) operated by a gripping part (12), which includes two gripping sectors (16, 18) pivotable relative to each other. One of the sectors (16) has a flange (32) that includes projections arranged coaxial to opposite sides. The other sector (18) has two wall sections that are arranged at a distance and parallel from each other. The wall sections incorporate the flange, where one of the wall sections (36) includes a slot opening (38) for accommodating of the projections that are designed as cylindrical pins. The gripping sectors are made of plastic.
