The air filter (1) has a web-like filter material (2) formed such that the filter material has a set of folds (3) arranged next to each other, and sorption bodies (9) inserted into a set of slots (5) at sides (7, 8) of the filter material. The slots are formed by the folds, and the sorption bodies treat and/or clean air flowing through the air filter. The sorption bodies project from the slots and are connected with each other for forming a sorption body block that is fastened at the filter material.
