The device has a light unit (1) with an optical element arranged upstream to an illuminating element. The optical element has a light inlet surface (6), light outlet surface (5) and a reflection surface (7) provided at a side turned towards the illuminating element, where the reflection surface reflects light within the optical element. The reflection surface is arranged at a side opposite to the inlet surface and formed such that a light beam entering into the optical element is decoupled from the optical element over the outlet surface by one-time reflection of the light beam.
