The machine i.e. external rotor-electric motor (1), has a rotor (3) comprising multiple rotor poles (10), and a stator (2) comprising multiple stator poles (5), where each stator pole comprises a pole tooth (6), a fixed winding (7) and a pole shoe (8). A groove opening (b) is formed between the two pole shoes that lie in an interval. The interval is calculated from diameter (D) of the stator, smallest common multiple (LCM) of number of the rotor poles and number of the stator poles and from a real correction factor that lies in a closed interval, according to a specific formula.
