Method and device for neutralizing acidic- and acidification vulnerable water, preferably open-cast mining lakes, comprise supplying external- and/or sea water by a pipeline system based on pipelines-based input systems, where a potential alkalinity, preferably limestone, dolomite powder, burnt lime, hydrated lime and soda are added into a water stream, and carbon dioxide is added into a supplying line. The charged external water is mixed into water bodies by the pipelines and a distributing system. The amounts of the feeding material and carbon dioxide is controlled by a sensor system. Method and device for neutralizing acidic- and acidification vulnerable water, preferably open-cast mining lakes, comprise supplying external- and/or sea water by a pipeline system based on pipelines-based input systems, where a potential alkalinity, preferably limestone, dolomite powder, burnt lime, hydrated lime and soda are added into a water stream of a pH of 2-4, and carbon dioxide is added into a supplying line at a pH of 4.3-9. The charged external water is mixed into water bodies by the pipelines and a distributing system. The amounts of the feeding material and carbon dioxide to be added into water bodies, is controlled by a sensor system, which detects water parameters including pH, conductivity, water velocity, water turbidity, temperature and lake-depth, and an additional pH increase up to a pH of 9 takes place in a second treatment stage by a separate feeding material input in a suspended form through a restoration ship.
