The arrangement (10) has a cooling unit assigned to a drive unit (16) of a motor vehicle for cooling the drive unit. An air guide device (26) arranged upstream to a cooling device (14) and guides cooling air flow to an electrical machine i.e. generator (24). A blower supplies cooling air flow to the generator, and is activated and/or disabled in dependence upon an operating condition of the generator. The generator is driven by the drive unit, and the cooling device comprises a cooler (12).
