The device (5) has a split relief branch pipe (6) connected between a non-pressure resistant device and an air inlet end of an air inlet pipe (2). A terminal end of the branch pipe is provided with an opening. A relief part i.e. relief sleeve, is arranged at the opening of the terminal end of the branch pipe for relieving the air inlet pipe when pressure inside the air inlet pipe exceeds a pre-set value. A friction increasing member is arranged at an outer wall of the branch pipe and/or an inner wall of the relief sleeve. The relief sleeve is made of elastic material. The non-pressure resistant device is a vacuum pump or an airbag.
