A connection is provided with an end section of one of the parts and a hollow connecting section surrounding the end section. The end section and the hollow connecting section are connected in a form-fit and force-fit manner. The hollow connecting section has a cover that is shrunk on the end section. The end sections of the parts are connected by a connecting element. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a toothed rack.
