Method for reconstruction of image data of test object i.e. patient, involves performing weighting of projections with back projection step per volume element of test object based on presence of redundant projections
The method involves detecting measured data (p) with a relative spiral movement between radiation sources (C2, C4) of a computed tomography system (C1) and a test object in cone-beam geometry as projections. Image reconstruction is performed based on a back projection of the measured data without sorting of the data in parallel beam geometry. Weighting of the projections is performed with the back projection step per volume element of the test object based on the presence of redundant projections. The projections with a reciprocal value of the redundant projections are weighted. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a control- and processing unit for reconstruction of image data of a test object from measurement data of a computed tomography system (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for performing a method for reconstruction of image data of a test object from measurement data (3) a computer program product comprising a set of instructions for performing a method for reconstruction of image data of a test object from measurement data.
