The spherical roller bearing (1) comprises an outer ring (2), an inner ring (3), and a number of spherical rollers (4,5), which are arranged between the outer ring and the inner ring. The spherical rollers are held in the circumferential direction in even distances to each other by a retainer (6,7). An annular groove with diagonal boards and a groove depth is formed in a shoulder surface (11) of the inner ring.
