The method involves registering actually executed actions of medical workflows (W1-W3) by terminals (2, 3) e.g. personal digital assistant, of an electronic control device (1) e.g. computer system with a central server, where a set of workstations is connected to the control device over a computer network. Absolute duration of the actions is continuously measured till the execution of the actions is received at a user-side. An alarm-routine i.e. output of an optical or acoustical alarm signal, is excited when the absolute duration of the actions exceeds action-specific limit duration. An independent claim is also included for an electronic control device with a terminal for executing a method for real time-controlling of manual execution of medical workflow.
