The system (5) has a substructure designed for resting on a flat roof (2), and a frame module fastened to the substructure. The frame module comprises cross-members and longitudinal members that are connected to one another. Four solar modules (4) are attached to the frame module, and the cross-members and longitudinal members of the frame module are positioned such that the frame module is adjustable to the solar modules of different sizes. The cross-members and longitudinal members are designed as aluminum extrusions.
