The assistance i.e. cushion element (7), has a door sill (3) comprising an entrance rail (8) on which the cushion element is arranged close to a B-column (4) of a motor vehicle (1) in a passenger handle region by a clip and/or adhesive. The cushion element is formed in a radius of an angle by the door sill and the B-column. The cushion element is formed from plastic substrate and a foam material, and includes a surface made from stainable and easily cleanable material i.e. imitation leather or leather.
