The actuator (120) has a Piezo-element (170) provided for operating a fuel injector (100) and accommodated in a housing (150). The housing includes two pip elements that are made of ceramic or hard metal with thermal expansion, where one of the pip elements is axially adjacent to another pip element. The former pipe element includes an engagement element with a back taper, and the latter pipe element includes an opening with another back taper. The opening is formed for retaining the engagement element. The former back taper is engaged with the latter back taper.
