The system has an external voltage-support point (3) connected to a battery pole (2) via an external voltage line. Electrical system-components e.g. load and generators, are connected to the pole via an electrical system-main line (5). A polarity reversal protection-disconnecting switch (4) is actuated during reversal of polarity and arranged between the point and the pole. The switch breaks electrical connection between the pole and the support point during release of the switch. A separation element invariably forms electrical connection of the system-components connected to the pole.
