The mat (10) has a heating element (11), and an electrode (12) for user recognition, where the heating element and the electrode are arranged on a non-woven fabric layer. The heating element and the electrode consist of a respective wire i.e. high-flexible stranded copper wire, made of same material. The heating element and the electrode are sewn between the layer and another non-woven fabric layer such that the heating element and the electrode do not contact each other. The electrodes are arranged on a carrier. The layers are made of textile fabric, yarn or individual fibers. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a mat.
