The device has a base body provided with multiple supporting components for supporting a test person. One of the components is displaced by the test person by foot, hand or other body parts. One of the components, which are displaced by the test person, comprise a linear effective brake unit, whose force effect is changed, during the operation of the device. The force effect of the linear effective brake unit (6) is changed in dependent upon physical condition of the test person. The linear acting brake unit stands in effective connection with an electronic control (7).
