The transmission has a parking lock that locks the transmission, and a pair of gear wheels attached to a gear. The gear wheels pair includes switchable idler gears (53, 54) that are placed next to each other on a shaft (50) in an axial direction. A thrust ring (110) is arranged between the idler gears to absorb axially acting forces on the idler gears, where the thrust ring forms a parking lock gear. The ring has an external tooth system (114) that forms a form-closure with a locking element of the parking lock. A radial inner end of the ring is placed in a groove of the shaft.
