The seal has neodymium detention magnets for generating force required for sealing of leakage. Rubber buffers are utilized between the magnets and a seal housing, where mobility of the magnets enables use of a sealing plate for different pipe diameters. The magnets are exposed to a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius, where the seal is composed of acid- and alkaline-resistant material. Locking bolts prevent inadvertent clamping at a ferromagnetic substrate.
