The invention relates to a process for preparing human von Willebrand factor from a plasma cryoprecipitate fraction. The process comprises a combination of three chromatographic separation steps. The concentrate obtained possesses a very high specific activity and a high percentage of multimers of high molecular weight. The concentrate is intended in particular for therapeutic use.
