The method involves forming a data memory (33) and a data interface (29) of a mobile terminal (25) for communicating with a vehicle-side data interface (23), and classifying data, which is in a vehicle side, into small latency or high latency in a decision unit (27). The data with small latency is sent to a central computer device (9) over a mobile wireless interface (31). The data with high latency is transferred from the vehicle-side data interface to the data interface of the mobile terminal and stored in the data memory of the mobile terminal. An independent claim is also included for a car communication system with a vehicle-side data interface.
