The lighting device (100) has a lighting system for providing two parallel light beam paths (106,108), and a deflecting device (118) for deflecting the parallel light beam paths on an object to be observed. The deflecting device has two semi-permeable deflecting elements (118,120), where the former deflecting element is assigned two observation light paths (154,156) of two observers. The latter deflecting element is assigned with another two observation light paths (152,158) of the two observers. An independent claim is also included for a stereo microscope with a magnification system.
