Coating for applying on a workpiece for laser material processing with laser wavelengths, comprises absorption layer whose absorption is high at laser wavelength so that coating is vaporized locally before actual machining of workpiece
The coating for applying on a workpiece (2) for laser material processing with laser wavelengths in the near infrared range of 1 mu m, comprises an absorption layer (5) whose absorption is high at the laser wavelength so that the coating is vaporized locally before actual machining of the workpiece. The coating is formed as a laser protective film (1) for applying on a workpiece for laser material processing at laser wavelengths other than 10.6 mu m. The absorption layer is formed through a film layer (6) of the laser protective film and by an external adhesion layer. The coating for applying on a workpiece (2) for laser material processing with laser wavelengths in the near infrared range of 1 mu m, comprises an absorption layer (5) whose absorption is high at the laser wavelength so that the coating is vaporized locally before actual machining of the workpiece. The coating is formed as a laser protective film (1) for applying on a workpiece for laser material processing at laser wavelengths other than 10.6 mu m. The absorption layer is formed: through a film layer (6) of the laser protective film; by an external adhesion layer, which is provided on the film layer of the laser protective film and the absorption at the laser wavelength of a laser beam (4) is larger than the absorption of the film layer; and as a separate layer between the film layer and the external adhesion layer of the laser protective film. The absorption of the absorbing layer at the laser wavelength of the laser beam is larger than the absorption of the film layer, and greater than the absorption of the adhesive layer. The absorption of the absorbing layer at the laser wavelength is 70%. The absorption properties of the absorbing layer are adjusted over its color, additives and/or layer thickness. Independent claims are included for: (1) a film-coated workpiece for laser material processing with laser wavelengths; (2) a workpiece for laser material processing with laser wavelengths; and (3) a method for producing a film-coated workpiece.
