The device (1) has a resistive component (7) including a contact surface (8) for electrically and thermal contacting a fluid-mixture and supplied with electric voltage for heating the fluid-mixture. The resistive component is connected with a measuring device for determining temperature dependent electrical characteristics of the resistive component. The resistive component is retained in a housing (2) that forms a passage volume for influencing a flow of the fluid-mixture, where the passage volume is aligned in a region of the resistive component. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining concentration of a component of a fluid-mixture.
