Near net-shape casting a rectangular metal strip, comprises introducing liquid steel /steel alloy onto water-cooled conveyor belt circulating between deflection rollers, coiled-mold element and between broadside margins, for solidification
The method for near net-shape casting of rectangular metal strips, comprises introducing liquid steel or steel alloys onto a water-cooled conveyor belt (3) circulating between two deflection rollers (4.1, 4.2), a coiled-mold element and between broadside margins (12), which are fixedly connected with a frame of a strip casting machine (2), serve as stand-mold element and do not present in circulation with the a coiled mold for solidification. The conveyor belt is fed to a conditioning after the solidification of the liquid metal and after the deflection using the deflection rollers. The method for near net-shape casting of rectangular metal strips, comprises introducing liquid steel or steel alloys onto a water-cooled conveyor belt (3) circulating between two deflection rollers (4.1, 4.2), a coiled-mold element and between broadside margins (12), which are fixedly connected with a frame of a strip casting machine (2), serve as stand-mold element and do not present in circulation with the a coiled mold for solidification. The conveyor belt is fed to a conditioning after the solidification of the liquid metal and after the deflection using the deflection rollers with the air of securing a voltage-free and designed conveyor belt with the repetitive solidification cycle of (n+1). The conditioning of the conveyor belt consists of one of the treatments such as glowing, descaling and/or smoothing. The conditioning step is continuously or discontinuously carried out. The cast near net-shape metal strip is supplied to a hot rolling mill consisting of a rolling stand (15). The strip casting machine is predominantly horizontally aligned with a deviation from the horizontal of maximum +- 10[deg] . An independent claim is included for a device for near net-shape casting of rectangular metal strips.
