The pump has a rotatably mounted rotor (1) surrounding a stator (4), where the stator is perpendicular to an axis of rotation (R). The rotor, stator and a positioning device enclose pump casings (9). The positioning device has a holder unit i.e. spring (5), holding the stator with holding force in a position relative to the rotor. A chamber (6) is arranged adjacent to the stator, where pressurized medium is acted upon the chamber. Pressing force of the medium in the chamber acts against holding force of the holder unit on the stator. The chamber is arranged at a pump outlet.
