The arrangement (ES) has a switching element (SW1) electrically coupled with a charge storage (CC1) and an energy storage (SC) e.g. capacitive energy storage, such that the charge storage and the energy storage are electrically coupled in parallel in a switched on switching state of the switching element and electrically decoupled in a switched off switching state of the switching element. Capacitance of the energy storage is larger than capacitance of the charge storage. A voltage converter (DCDC) e.g. direct current (DC)/DC converter, provides charging voltage to the charge storage. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for operating an energy storage arrangement (2) a method for operating an energy storage arrangement.
