The tensioning rope arrangement (12) has a tensioning rope (14) which has a fastening end (15) for the fastening of the tensioning rope at an element of a roof (1) and another fastening end (16). An adjusting unit is provided with a rotatable adjusting element for the tension strength of the tensioning rope. The adjusting unit has a receiver for the adjusting element which is formed, so that the adjusting element is directly inserted in the receiver. An independent claim is also included for a convertible car with a folding top base.
