The attachment unit (100) has a guide device (2) e.g. swivel blade and circulation device, for a tool (3) e.g. abrasive belt, formingly and force fittingly connected with a housing (1). The housing comprises a handle (8) and an aperture (4) that accommodates a rotatable driving apparatus for driving the tool. The housing and/or the guide device comprise a clamping apparatus for an endless rotating tool. A position of the guide device is adjusted corresponding to the housing via a mechanical position element. The housing is provided with a roller for deflection of the abrasive belt. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a drilling chuck for a drilling machine comprising a rotationally symmetrically trained device for fixing a drilling tool (2) a method for operating a tool-free drive attachment unit.
