The bearing (1) has an inner rotor e.g. cage (4), displaceably arranged in a carrier sleeve in an axial direction as a linear bearing e.g. ball bearing. An outer rotor e.g. radial outer ring (5), is rotatably and/or swingably arranged in the carrier sleeve in a rotational direction as a radial bearing e.g. needle bearing. The cage is equipped with rolling members. The carrier sleeve is formed with a machined component i.e. machined retainer (17), for a shaft sealing ring (18). Retaining grooves (11, 13) are formed by retaining rings or snap rings. An independent claim is also included for a switch device comprising a linear mechanism.
