The method involves monitoring filling pressure of a tire (5) of a lorry trailer (2) while pressure measured using a tire module is compared with target filling pressure. A warning signal is output when the measured pressure falls below the target pressure. An infrared lamp (7) arranged on the trailer is activated to indicate noticeable low filling pressure. An infrared signal (6) of the lamp is received using infrared receivers arranged at an outer mirror (8) of a tractor (1). A warning signal indicating the noticeable low filling pressure is displayed in a display arranged at the mirror. The warning signal indicating the noticeable low filling pressure is displayed in the form of alphanumeric or pictogram representation. The display is designed in form of an alphanumeric display.
