The system uses a mobile unit (1) e.g. mobile phone as remote controller for operating a display unit (2) connected to a computer (12) in the radiology department. A position identification unit (11) identifies spatial position of mobile unit. A display control module (17) generates and displays selection list to select suitable display unit (2) for displaying the stored medical data (3) based on identified spatial position of mobile unit. A suitable display unit is selected from the list by user by using an operation unit (18). An independent claim is included for method for displaying stored medical data on display unit connected to computer in radiology department of hospital.
