The structure has a frame element e.g. backrest frame or seat cushion frame, manufactured by magnesium injection-molding e.g. magnesium thixomolding, of a metal sheet. A functional element (201) e.g. headrest recording, is integrated at the frame element during injection-molding, and the metal sheet is made of magnesium alloy or coated steel-or-aluminum alloy. Holding members are arranged in lower ends of longitudinal beams (252, 253). Stabilizing drawstrings are arranged between a lower cross beam and the longitudinal beams. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a seat structure (2) a tool for executing a method for manufacturing the seat structure.
