The drive has a control unit for controlling a drive unit, where a hand operation unit (2) is electrically connected with the control unit for actuating the control unit. The hand operation unit includes a control element linearly moved between two actuating positions. The control element actuates switches in actuating positions, respectively. Different adjustable actions of a part of a furniture are assigned to the switches. One switch is formed with pressure-actuated switching elements that are pretensioned by a spring unit in an unswitched position.
