The device has a predominantly gas-tight sleeve (2) partially or completely covering a body of a person (1). An air inhale and exhale mechanism causes lungs of the person to completely inhale and exhale fresh air (3). A flow guide discharges aqueous condensate (11) outside the sleeve. The person aspirates the fresh air over a non-return valve (4) and by a breathing mask (5). Breathed-out air (7) is fed by the breathing mask and another non-return valve (6) into a channel (8).
