The method involves distributing carbon dioxide-pellets required for cleaning metallic or non-metallic surfaces on a flat plate before bringing into a blasting machine such that the pellets lie only in a moved plane. The pellets are sprayed with a fine water fog and under-cooled by a cold gas flow of nitrogen such that the fog that is adhered to the pellets is frozen. The fog is repeatedly applied and frozen such that the pellets that are surrounded with a firm water jacket are provided into the machine after completion of passing of the pellets through a cutter.
