The arrangement has a gas generator filling an air cushion, where the air cushion and the gas generator are arranged in and/or at a folding-top linkage (1) of a folding-top mechanism or in surrounding area of the folding-top linkage of the folding-top mechanism. A release mechanism of the air cushion is activated and deactivated in a closed condition and an opened condition of a material folding-top (3), respectively. The folding-top is transferable from the closed condition into the opened condition and vice versa by the folding-top mechanism.
