The friction clutch (1) has a flywheel provided with a counter-pressure plate. A pressure plate (6) is axially moved by a disk spring (7). A wearout condition of the pressure plate is detected by relative movement between a driving pawl (12) and a pinion gear (10) that is arranged coaxial to a spindle (11) of a spindle drive (9), where the pawl is arranged at a housing side. The pinion gear is rotationally driven by the driving pawl during the wearout condition. A kinematic chain between a ramp ring (8) and the driving pawl is decoupled during assembling the friction clutch.
