Method for cavitation detection at pumps, involves deriving control variable from switching signal for guiding conveyor device from region of cavitation according to detectable conveyor height reduction
The method involves receiving reflected and new ultrasonic signals as echo and evaluating the signals with respect to its amplitude and signal shape, where the signals are transmitted through fluid medium (6). A switching signal is provided by a sensor (2) for detecting beginning or displaced cavitation lying up to a represented value. A control variable is derived from the switching signal for guiding a conveyor device from a region of the cavitation according to detectable conveyor height reduction. The displaced cavitation is detected at an early stage. An independent claim is also included for a method for cavitation detection at hydraulic systems and devices.
