The machine has a laundry treating agent addition device comprising storage vessels (11, 12) for storing treating agent i.e. soft detergent, and a dosing device for automatic addition of the treating agent in a treatment process. The storage vessels comprise a device for increasing, decreasing or dividing volume of the storage vessels, where the device is designed as a supplementary container with small volume such that the container is fitted to an interior structure of the storage vessels. The storage vessels are lockable by a cover plate (13) with a sealing edge connection.
