The device (1) has a valve spring (2) formed as a coil spring and a tension spring with multi-spring coils (4, 5) that represent a closing body of the valve device. The spring coils are closely laid in a resting position of the valve spring on a block and limit a valve space (8). The spring coils of the valve spring are lifted from each other when pressure in the valve space exceeds a predetermined threshold. An end (12) of the valve spring is pressure-tightly closed by a cap (14) or a plug. Another end (16) of the valve spring is connected to a pressure port.
