The grommet (2) has a circular frame (4) inserted into an opening, and an inner part (6) filling thin cross-section of the frame. Lines (22) e.g. hydraulic lines, of an electrical wiring harness are guided through the frame. The inner part is formed from a foam material, and the lines are foamed by the foam material. The frame is composed of two sections connected with each another by a film hinge. The frame includes a seal (40) at a side, which faces towards an edge of the opening, where the seal is made of thermoplastic elastomer. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a grommet.
