The clamping system has a sprung clamping arm which is arranged at an internal combustion engine or an engine block and pivoted over a rotational axis or a rotational point. The rotational point has a damping unit for influencing regulating movement of a swivel arm. The damping unit comprises conical, elastic forced loaded friction elements assigned to a fastening unit of the clamping arm. One friction element is fixed in a hole of the clamping arm.
