The steering wheel (1) has a detecting unit i.e. textile electrode (2), arranged in a grasp region and provided for detecting vital parameters of a driver of a motor car. The textile electrode is connected with an evaluation unit through wire or wirelessly. Heart frequency, electric thermal activity, bioelectric impedance and/or body temperature of the driver is determined as the vital parameters by the textile electrode. The electrode is arranged at a front side, back side and/or at a lateral surface of the steering wheel. A collar (1.1) is connected with a pot (1.3) over spokes (1.2).
