The accommodating unit i.e. discharge lamp unit (1), has circuit members allowing light to shine, and accommodated within a cabinet. An element of small heat resistance is provided with a permissible temperature, and a metallic shield element is arranged on a side of a hole by the element of heat resistance to cover a portion of the hole, without any contact with the cabinet. The shield element is provided with a resin, and an element of low thermal conductivity includes a material as the cabinet, and is provided in the hole.
