The assembly i.e. optical connector assembly (10), has a plug-type optical connector (1) with a latching arm (4) comprising a fastening tongue (45), and a socket-type optical connector (2) with a fastener receiving area at which the tongue is secured. Extension regions of the receiving area are arranged opposite to projection regions and prevent the connectors from being unlocked. A resilient spring element presses the tongue against the receiving area in a direction in which the plug-type optical connector is detached from the socket-type optical connector.
