The grinding machine (10) has a grinding stone (12) and a bearing bridge (13) which comprises unit for lifting the grinding stone. The lifting unit comprises a peripheral retaining ring (22) at the grinding stone and a retaining bolt (16) at the bearing bridge, which is displaced axially towards the grinding stone. The retaining bolt is axially displaced by the lifting unit of the bearing bridge which comprises an attachment piece for attaching a freight lift. An independent claim is also included for a method for changing the grinding stone of a grinding machine.
