PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infection preventing gastrostomy catheter kit used for gastrostomy which enables an intragastric indwelling member of the catheter to easily and certainly pass through an infection preventing cover by a simple operational technique and a diameter of the infection preventing cover can be reduced.;SOLUTION: The infection preventing gastrostomy catheter kit comprises the catheter for gastrostomy 20 which includes a flexible and hollow PEG tube 21 reinforced by a filament material 24, a deformable intragastric indwelling device 23 located at the termination of the PEG tube 21, a taper member 22 which is located at the pointed head of the PEG tube 21 and fixes a pointed head section 40a of a guidewire 40 inserted from a pointed head hole 22a of the same, and the infection preventing cover 1 which includes a flexible and hollow cylinder 2 and a socket member which comprises a socket 4 and a pin 5 located at the termination of the cylinder 2 to fix the intragastric indwelling device 23, and removably covers the catheter for gastrostomy 20.
